GAO Launches 800H Optical Power Meter

GAO Fiber Optics, supplier of fiber-optic test and measurement devices, announced that it has launched a new optical power meter for installing and maintaining CATV and fiber-optic networks.

800H Optical Power Meter

The 800H optical power meter is utilized for acceptance testing, quality assurance testing, network commissioning and WAN and LAN testing.

The handheld power meter sets a new industry standard for deploying, testing, and maintaining multimode and single-mode networks. It features a real-time clock function, auto-off function and low voltage warning function. It functions in a wavelength range between 800 and 1600 nm and provides calibrated wavelengths such as 1490, 1550, 1310, 1300, 980 and 850 nm. It performs both relative and absolute power measurements in a test range from -50 to 26 dBm.

The 800H optical power meter stores a maximum of 200 data items. It communicates with a PC through a USB port and has a high-resolution LCD display. In addition, LC, SC, ST or FC connectors are offered for selection. These features, along with compact size and simple operation, make the power meter a suitable tool for field use.
