LG Display Rolls Out 240 Hz LCD Panel for Desktop Monitors

LG Display announced that it has rolled out a new 23” 240 Hz LCD panel that is suitable for desktop monitors.

240 Hz LCD Panel

The panel was manufactured by integrating scanning backlight technology with 120 Hz technology. The scanning backlight technology allows the backlight to be switched on and off repeatedly.

The 240 Hz LCD panel is ideal for 3D gaming solutions because its high refresh rate provides high-quality 3D experience and eliminates any semblances of flicker. The LCD panel is developed by utilizing the copper bus line technology of LG Display for processing huge amounts of data. The monitor’s 8 ms response time provides ghost free viewing of movies and games. Monitors that use the panel require HDMI 1.4a ports because large amount of data is required to be transferred.

The Vice-President of LG Display, Ha Hyun Hwoi stated that the LCD panel was developed to meet the requirements of consumers who use high motion picture response time and high picture quality.
