EXFO Rolls Out FOT-5200 Channel Analyzer for CWDM Networks

EXFO, provider of test and service assurance solutions for network operators, has launched a new channel analyzer that is ideal for CWDM networks. The new FOT-5200 CWDM channel analyzer is useful for installing, maintaining and repairing any CWDM network and is suitable for activating mobile backhauls for cable TV operators.

The FOT-5200, combined with speed and usability improvements, significantly enhances the day-to-day efficiency of field technicians for network testing purposes. It provides an advanced complete tool kit with a combined loss tester and broadband power meter. The FOT-5200 offers plug-and-play usability and displays precise results in tables and bar graphs.

Users can save and download data via a USB connection. The FOT-5200 CWDM analyzer carries out precise testing in 5 sec. The testing speed is 10 times quicker than the average speed in the industry. The device also provides substantial benefits in terms of size.

EXFO's VP of Wireline Division and Corporate Marketing, Etienne Gagnon stated that the company’s optical solutions address the increasing needs of the customers. He added that there is a considerable demand from operators for decreased size and increased speed in optical test devices.
