LIMO has developed a new a diode laser system, called the LIMO120-F400-SL808-103. The laser system produces thermographic signals and photoluminescence, by the asymmetric homogeneous illumination of a solar cell.
Homogeneously illuminated fields are useful in different metrology applications in various industries, such as chemical analysis or medicine.
The fiber-coupled industrial laser system is integrated with a processing head IOS00019x-series. The laser system produces a homogeneously illuminated field at an angle of incidence of 35°. The angle of incidence fits solar cell sizes of as much as 210 x 210 mm. The laser produces a center wavelength range of 790 - 808 nm to separate signal light and excitation source. The LIMO120-F400-SL808-103 is also available with the optional small bandwidth models.
The solar cell inspection tools that work on the LIMO laser source function using a single light source, compared to other inspection tools that utilize two light sources. This aspect of the tools makes the system compact, and minimizes assembly costs and materials.
