Elbit Systems Wins Multiple Contracts for Laser Devices in Israel and North America

Elbit Systems has received various contracts from North American and Israeli customers to offer numerous kinds of laser systems.

The laser solutions will be executed at airborne applications that include UAS and helicopters. Elbit Systems’ Electro-Optics Elop (Elop) obtained the orders for the laser systems, which will be provided in the forthcoming two years.

Elop develops laser solutions based on a diverse range of fiber lasers and diode-pumped lasers for airborne defense systems, laser radars, and laser designators. The technologies allow the execution of lightweight, compact, and high-quality laser systems for various applications.

Elop’s General Manager, Adi Dar stated that the growing demand for sophisticated laser solutions, particularly for miniaturized designators, is because of its potential to stop collateral damage and deliver performance with high-precision. Dar added that the laser solutions, including the miniaturized Rattler designator for ground and small airborne applications, have allowed precision targeting to be used on a bigger scale.
