Theia’s C Mount Lens Uses Linear Optical Technology Platform

Provider of megapixel lenses, Theia Technologies has expanded the product line of no distortion, ultra wide-angle megapixel lenses with a new MY110 C mount lens.

The megapixel lens uses a Linear Optical Technology platform to correct the barrel distortion of the lenses optically. The lens is ideal for industrial inspection and security applications.

MY110 lens

The MY110 lens offers a horizontal field of view at a maximum of 120° with a barrel distortion of up to 2%. The wide field of view of 120° enables more area coverage using a single camera, thereby minimizing storage and bandwidth needs of the entire system. The lens offers enhanced resolution at the image edge than standard wide lenses. This feature maximizes the possibility of object recognition in security and machine vision applications.

The 3-megapixel C mount lens can be utilized on standard video cameras and during the day or night to focus in near Infrared and visible light without the need to re-focus the camera. In addition, the high IR light transmission of the MY110 lens allows the utilization of IR LEDs in inspection applications. The MY110 lens will be available in manual and auto iris versions.
