CommScope to Unveil BrightPath Optical Solutions at 2010 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo

Provider of infrastructure products for communication networks, CommScope will unveil its BrightPath Optical Solutions (BOS) at the 2010 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in New Orleans. The BOS offers a complete solution to cable MSOs and other broadband network operators for bandwidth-requiring converged services from one provider.

The BOS comprises a comprehensive suite of end user, outside plant and headend solutions. The BrightPath Optical Solutions allows MSOs to select suitable solutions to enhance their networks. The BOS package allows operators to fulfill the requirements of cellular backhaul, commercial, multi-dwelling unit and residential applications using advanced technologies, including DOCSIS-enabled Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) and hybrid-fiber coax (HFC) node segmentation.

CommScope’s Vice President of Advanced Broadband Solutions, Shane Eleniak stated that the company is capable of offering comprehensive solutions that develop on the RF, coax and fiber solutions. By providing a full suite of PON, HFC and RFoG solutions, CommScope’s consumers can economically deliver high bandwidth services and can utilize their current infrastructure, Eleniak remarked.
