Infinera to demonstrate Digital Optical Network Capabilities at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo

Provider of digital optical networks solutions, Infinera will present a live demonstration of its digital optical network at the 2010 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana. The company will demonstrate the capabilities of Digital OTN and end-to-end Digital OTN switching on an Infinera DTN- ATN network.

Infinera offers OTN switching and grooming at each node in a network to increase network performance monitoring and service reconfigurability of the network, and to deliver high network bandwidth efficiency. The ATN and DTN platforms from Infinera offer faultless OTN network that supports point-and-click provisioning throughout the long haul, metro core and metro edge segments of an optical network.

Infinera will also transmit a 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) signal obtained from one of the EXFO test set to a DTN using a 100GbE module via fiber. Later on, the signal will be looped back to the DTN and will be sent back to the test set to ensure signal integrity. The verification and testing of the transmission will be conducted using an EXFO FTB-85 100 Gb/s Packet Blazer tester.
