The inline SpectroProofer, which comes as an optional feature with the Stylus Pro 4900, automatically determines color charts during the creation of ICC profiles. The inline SpectroProofer offers repeatable color accuracy. The printer delivers identical colors as the original image on the new print, even when used on various media.

Epson's Advanced-TFP print head and 11-colour UltraChrome HDR inks, when combined with the color matching capabilities of the large format printer, each print receives consistent and accurate color reproduction. The Stylus Pro 4900 operates at a 46m2/hour production speed, and requires less maintenance. The printer features an automated paper changing functionality, and a front-loading cassette of high capacity. In addition, the photo printer automatically switches between matte and photo black inks, as both inks are built-in to continue the print run.
