Distributor of electronic components, Digi-Key announced that the Helieon Sustainable Light modules are available for purchase on its global websites. The company has stocked on Helieon lighting modules manufactured by Molex and Bridgelux. Digi-Key has a 600,000 square foot plant in Minnesota to serve its customer base.
Helieon integrates Molex’s easy-to-use interconnect technology and Bridgelux’s LED array light sources, to develop plug-and-play solutions. The solutions can be easily used in a wide range of luminaires. The socket and source system of the solution is separable and it imitates a conventional socket and bulb. This enables manufacturers to provide various lighting effects from one luminaire design, as well as field upgradeability as the efficiencies of the LED lighting improve.
The lighting modules help in decreasing environmental waste and energy costs, for the manufacturers. The Bridgelux arrays utilized in the Helieon modules provide 500 - 1,500 lm, in a compact light source. The Helieon lighting modules are used in applications such as museum lighting, decorative lighting, architectural lighting, hospitality lighting, display and retail lighting, interior area lighting, spot and track lights, task and accent lighting, and down lights.
