Theia Unveils New C Mount Megapixel Lens with Linear Optical Technology

Theia Technologies has expanded its portfolio of high-quality megapixel lenses by introducing a new MY110 C mount lens. The C mount lens utilizes the linear optical technology and offers a maximum of 120° horizontal field of view and a barrel distortion of up to 2%.

The 120° wide field of view in the three-megapixel MY110 lens offers more area coverage using a single camera, and helps in minimizing both storage and bandwidth demands of the entire system. Other wide lenses normally compress the images and leave out information. The MY110 lens provides high-resolution images and improved resolution at the image’s edges. This feature increases the possibility of recognizing objects in security and machine vision applications.

The MY110 C mount lens features an all-optical barrel distortion correction function and is IR corrected. The lens can be utilized during the day or night, can focus clearly in IR and visible light and eliminates the need to re-focus the megapixel camera.  The MY110lens can also be used on normal video cameras.

The MY110’s high IR light transmission allows IR LEDs to be utilized in inspection applications. The C mount lens is available in manual and auto iris models.
