ColorLok Paper Standard Improves Efficiency of HP LaserJet Printers

HP has announced that the ColorLok paper quality standard has been expanded with additional features for commodity-grade office papers used for laser printing. Consumers utilize the ColorLok papers along with HP LaserJet printers for high reliability and quality. The ColorLok paper standard enhances printing for inkjet and laser printers.

According to the third-party study, when compared to tested papers, the ColorLok papers can increase the lifespan of laser printers as much as nine times longer. Additionally, the tested papers fail to meet the standard requirements. The study also says that the use of the ColorLok paper in laser printers can significantly reduce paper path obstructions and resulted in fewer problems. The ColorLok papers also protected and maintained the key parts of the laser engine, allowing the engine to deliver a reliable, consistent and high quality performance. The study was commissioned by HP and performed by Buyers Laboratory.

HP has published a paper named ‘Laser Printer Performance and Reliability Degrades When Using Low-Quality Cutsheet Papers’. The paper describes how sub-standard printing results from poor quality paper impacts business operations.
