Fiber-based communications provider, Zayo Enterprise Networks, and packet optical solution provider, BTI Systems, have deployed high-speed Ethernet services in Memphis.
The deployment will allow business establishments in the Memphis area to expand their network bandwidth cost-efficiently. Zayo had carried out a similar deployment in Denver several months ago. The deployment is part of the company’s ‘Fiber-to-the-Enterprise’ strategy to expand its base across the country.
Zayo will utilize BTI’s advanced packet optical technology, which will provide Memphis business community access to scalable services for improved communications, video transport, data sharing and internet access in an affordable and high-performance infrastructure. The company will use the entire BTI portfolio that includes the BTI 700 series and the BTI 7000 series.
Garner Bailey, Memphis Vice President for Zayo, stated that the Ethernet services offered by the company would allow Memphis businesses to increase their application connectivity.
BTI Systems’ VP Global Marketing, Glenn Thurston, mentioned that Zayo and BTI addresses the requirements of Memphis business community to move from legacy networks to sophisticated fiber network and services.
