Nikon Metrology and Verisurf Software Sign OEM Agreement

Verisurf Software and Nikon Metrology, have signed a global OEM agreement, that will allow Nikon to promote and vend Verisurf software when it is packaged with Nikon Metrology devices.

The agreement will allow manufacturers to operate all metrology devices such as the iGPS, MCA II articulated arm, which is configured with probes and scanners, K-Series optical CMMs configured with probes and scanners and Laser Radar of Nikon from the common platform of Verisurf.

The X platform, which offers completely programmable, automated, and non contact measurement controls in addition to providing a single platform for all metrology devices with an updated VDI for Nikon Metrology’s Laser Radar device, is the most modern release of the computer aided reverse engineering and inspection software of Verisurf which offers superior feature extraction and inspection guidance facility for reverse engineering.

Verisurf’s President, Ernie Husted, stated that by having sophisticated inspection software, which allows operation of all Nikon metrology devices would decrease technical support and maintenance cost and increase the manufacturing efficiency of the customer.
