Fiber-based solution provider, Zayo Bandwidth, has joined the Colorado Communication Transport (CCT) to build a fiber optic transport network and provide connectivity to Denver’s key communication centers. The transport network will cover the northeastern regions of Colorado.
CCT’s founding members are Zayo and 10 Colorado-based telephone companies. These companies include Willard Telephone Company, Wiggins Telephone Association, Stoneham Cooperative Telephone, Roggen Telephone Cooperative Company, Plains Cooperative Telephone Association, Peetz Communications, PC Telcom, Nunn Telephone Company, Eastern Slope Rural Telephone Association and Agate Mutual Telephone Cooperative Association.
The fiber optic network will offer high-speed access to key traffic separation zones at economical rates. The network will also facilitate better quality services to residents, schools and business establishments in Colorado’s rural northeastern regions. The project is expected to be completed by 2010 year-end.
Zayo’s Rural Nebraska Healthcare Network will provide high-speed connectivity to major internet locations in Denver.
The VP of Network & Business Development, Andy Sredojevic, stated that the company is happy to improve the network and service quality for rural communities in the northeastern Colorado regions.
