Scientists Develop New Treating Method to Enhance Organic Solar Cell Efficiency

Scientists at the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) and the Freiburg Materials Research Center (FMF) have succeeded in developing a method for treating the surface of nanoparticles which greatly improves the efficiency of organic solar cells. The researchers were able to attain an efficiency of 2 percent by using so-called quantum dots composed of cadmium selenide.

USFloors Installs 144.48kW Solar Array at its Facilities

The largest commercial solar array in the state was just commissioned in Dalton, GA. USFloors, a nationwide leader in sustainable flooring, installed a 144.48 kW solar array on their facilities. USFloors President Piet Dossche explained, "The array is expected to more than cover the energy needs for our green building, producing enough energy to power 14 homes.

Clear Skies Solar Signs Contract for Rooftop Solar Project in New Jersey

Clear Skies Solar (CSS) (OTC Bulletin Board: CSKH), Inc., a full-service renewable energy provider to commercial, industrial, and agricultural clients, announces the signing of a 185 kilowatt rooftop solar energy project in New Jersey, which is expected to start by the end of February.
