Pittcon Offering Discounted Rates for Exhibitors Until July 15

The Pittcon Exposition Committee is now accepting booth space reservations for Pittcon 2012, which will be held March 11-15, 2012, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The discounted rate of $2,150 for a standard 10' x 10' space will be available to all exhibitors up to July 15, 2011.

Olympus Introduce New Silicon Oil-Immersion Objectives

Olympus has introduced two new silicon oil-immersion objectives, the UPLSAPO30xS and UPLSAPO60xS. The new lenses are ideal for live cell experiments, particularly those investigating thick samples or requiring long-term imaging. Users can generate bright images at higher resolution, as silicon oil significantly improves optical performance in comparison to conventional oil- or water-based approaches.

New SEM from Hitachi Features Sub-Nanometer Resolution and 3 Million Times Magnification

The new SU9000 Field Emission (FE) Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) from Hitachi High-Technologies features novel electron optics which allow 0.4 nm resolution to be achieved at an accelerating voltage of 30 kV, with a usable magnification up to 3 Million times.
