Scientists Receives Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award 2007

Dr. Nicholas P. Economou and Bill Ward from Carl Zeiss SMT, Inc., Peabody, Massachusetts, recently received the Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award 2007. The award was presented in the category of Materials and Other Base Technologies for the development of the ORION"! helium ion microscope. Researchers to Develop Ways of Controlling Optical Energy

The University of Texas at San Antonio and The University of Texas at Austin are two of five research universities in a nationwide consortium awarded $1.4 million from the National Science Foundation. The Nanoscale Interdisciplinary Research Team (NIRT) grant is designed to explore ways of concentrating optical energy on a scale of nanometers and develop means of controlling optical energy for applications in nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Tokuyama Corporation successfully starts up AIXTRON MOCVD System for development and production of UV LEDs

World Record Set for Optical High-Speed Signals
