Eastman Kodak Company to Divest its OLED Business to LG Companies

Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) announced today that it will sell substantially all the assets associated with its OLED business to a group of LG companies. This move will tighten Kodak’s investment focus and strengthen its financial position. Financial details were not disclosed.

Cree Buys Semi-Insulating SiC Patents from Daimler AG

Cree, Inc. (NASDAQ: CREE) announces that it has acquired a portfolio of patents and patent applications related to semi-insulating silicon carbide (SiC) material and power device technology from Daimler AG. The portfolio consists of approximately 20 patent families, including issued patents in the United States, Germany, Japan, and China. U.S. Patent No. 5,856,231 (‘231) titled “Process for Producing High-Resistance Silicon Carbide” is an important piece of the portfolio that relates to the manufacturing of semi-insulating SiC using vanadium doping.

Four Door Media Earns License to Design Optical Computer Mouse in Shelby Vehicle Shapes

Four Door Media, Inc., designer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialized computer based products and accessories, today announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with racing legend Carroll Shelby/Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc. The company is now authorized to design its car-shaped, wireless and wired optical computer mouse products, Road Mice(TM) in the shape of Shelby's current and classic vehicles. With the new agreement, Four Door Media will develop and market various Shelby vehicle replicas such as the Shelby GT-500 and Shelby Cobra that function as computer mice or pointing devices.

LDK Solar and Q-Cells Reach Deal for Continuation of Solar Wafer Supply Contract

LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE: LDK) and Q-Cells SE (QCE; ISIN DE0005558662) jointly announce that the two companies have reached an agreement to continue their supply contract for solar wafers from 2009 to 2018. During recent amicable negotiations, the two companies resolved all differences of opinion over the interpretation of the agreement and neither side will pursue legal action. Q-Cells also agreed to no longer pursue measures to collect the bank guarantee. Joint business activities between the two companies remain unchanged.
