Motorola Launches CS3000 Series of Laser Scanning Devices

Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Solutions (EMS) division has introduced the CS3000 series of 1D laser scanning devices. The device is economical and portable, and will be useful for workers who need to scan bar codes for mobile applications. Workers can attain higher productivity levels with this latest advanced data capture solution.

As the device delivers a superior scanning performance, it enables workers in facilities management, direct store delivery, and retail stores to overcome challenges in productivity. The device has a two-button interface that ensures easy scanning, and a long-lasting design. The device can withstand tumbles and drops. The two-button interface of the device requires minimal training for end users to work on. The device also has the capacity to capture above one million bar codes, and a long battery life.

The device is available in two models, CS3000 and CS3070, and would fit inside a pocket conveniently. The CS3000 can be used in standalone mode for bar code batch scanning. The CS3070 can be used to transmit data in real time to a host application through a wireless Bluetooth connection, in addition to batch transmissions. The scanner also has a built-in comprehensive coverage, which protects the components of the scanner from breaking.

VP of advance data capture at Motorola EMS, Al Quinn said that the company is expanding its scanning portfolio to meet the various needs of the customers.
