In industrial applications, the media converter can function as a 2-channel converter, or a 4-port Fast Ethernet Fiber switch. The JetCon 2302 offers 1.5 K Hi-Pot isolation protection that guarantees dependable network performance in adverse industrial environments. The NEMA TS2 compliant device is enclosed in an aluminum case that offers IP-31 grade protection.

JetCon 2302 works as a 4-port Fast Ethernet switch under switch operation mode, for long distance connectivity. The media converter offers superior data exchange performance, as it has been integrated with 3.2Gbps switching fabric along with the non-blocking store and forward technology. The fiber ports provide single-mode 30KM, or multi-mode 2KM transceivers to get stable data transmission without interferences. When in the converter mode, the device utilizes two channels 10/100 TX to 100 FX to save cost and power.

The media converter has a wide range of redundant power input that goes in line with the requirements of NEMA TS2 standard. The redundant power input also assures superior reliability to the device. The device can operate in a wide temperature range of -25¢ªC - +75◦C, while delivering exceptional performance in harsh surroundings.
