Cisco reported that it has partnered with Greenfield Development to integrate internet and smart building technologies in the Twin Oaks Place. The collaboration will connect communities in the Greenfield District along the Shaw Boulevard.
The Smart+Connected Communities effort from Cisco is targeted to create future cities that are sustainable economically, socially, and environmentally. This is the first real estate project for the company in the Philippines. The project also includes a future-ready building infrastructure that is Internet Protocol-based. This makes the partnership a flagship project for Connected Home in the country.
The new project has been started after the announcement from Greenfield Development that it will integrate fiber-optic technology in all of its future real estate projects. This will offer access to high-speed Internet for the commercial and residential units in the Greenfield District.
The Smart+Connected Communities initiative from Cisco is to utilize the network as the base for improving citizen’s quality of life, development of economy, and integrated city management. The company expects the initiative to help in transforming countries, cities, and communities, and boost social, economic, and environmental sustainability. The initiative is mainly focused on sustainable solutions for transportation, utilities, education, public safety, and buildings.
The Twin Oaks Place is a residential tower that is the first future-ready type of tower in the Philippines and will be developed by Greenfield Development. This project has been started to redefine the life in cosmopolitan city and give a new face to the urban landscape.
