The Diamond Cellar, a leading independent jeweler in the US, has replaced its present range of display case bulbs with GE’s Immersion LED Display Case Lighting. The jeweler had installed GE’s advanced LED lighting system to enhance the appearance of its displayed products and help attract consumers’ attention in order to boost product sales.
GE’s LED lighting system employs a number of light sources that improves visual reflectivity and minimizes operational expenditure. Unlike halogen and fluorescent lighting systems, the LED lighting system focuses the maximum light at the center of the display case and spreads it throughout the case, thus eliminating the shadows and rendering a more orderly look.
The LED lighting system utilizes an advanced thermal management technology that generates greater lux levels compared to fluorescent lighting systems. In addition, the thermal management technology allows minimum power usage and ensures cooler operations. Although the halogen lighting systems generate higher lux levels, the Immersion LED Display Case Lighting provides superior optical control and significant energy savings with reduced maintenance costs. The LED lighting system is also RoHS compliant and does not contain any glass, mercury or lead.
The Diamond Cellar’s Director of Operations, Ronald Croft, Jr., stated that the LED Display Case Lighting is durable and offers superior efficiency. He added that the GE’s lighting system has added a brilliant sparkle to the display cases.
GE Lighting’s Product Manager, Joshua Gildea, reiterated that the slim design of the display lighting allows customized fitting and enables easy installation without disrupting the shoppers’ experience.
