AUO to Showcase New Display Technologies at Display Taiwan 2010

AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) participated in Display Taiwan 2010 held at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall to exhibit its display products. The company’s exhibits included 3D display panels, LED backlit TV panels, MVA or multi-touch LED backlit IT displays and e-paper display applications. The other exhibits are TV display technologies such as the AMVA5 and 58" CinemaScope HDTV.

A 2.4" transparent AMOLED panel with in-cell touch feature and a 32" LCD display with projected capacitive multi-touch feature from AUO’s product lineup were primarily showcased in the exhibition. “Innovating Life” is this year’s show theme of AUO. AUO’s objective is to provide amazing viewing experiences by means of technological innovations.

AUO CEO, Dr. L.J. Chen, stated that the development of cloud computing and digital content has played a significant role in the increased performance requirements of flat panel displays. Chen added that AUO hopes to meet visual applications related user demands with its diverse eco-friendly products and technologies.
