One of the leading manufacturers of photovoltaic modules, Yingli Green Energy is going to launch new generation of N-type monocrystalline modules called the Yingli Solar Panda at the Intersolar Trade Shows. The events will be held from 9 to 11 June 2010 in Munich, Germany and from 13 to 15 June 2010 in San Francisco, USA.
The solar modules, which have been specifically designed through Project PANDA, are based on N-type monocrystalline solar cells. The modules have received the TUV certification and offer an average efficiency that is greater than 18.5%. The solar modules have low degradation levels and can perform effortlessly even under low irradiation and extreme temperature conditions, unlike conventional modules that are based on P-type solar cells.
Yingli Green Energy’s Vice President of Technology, Jingfeng Xiong, stated the company is happy to introduce its advanced solar modules that are commercially-viable and meet the market demand for high-efficiency solar products. He added that the company is also happy to accomplish the commercial availability of the technology within a year.
Yingli Green Energy will begin the commercial production of the solar modules at its 300 MW manufacturing facilities by Q3 of 2010.
