Everlight, LG and AmTRAN Combine to Form a New LED Packaging Company

Everlight Electronics has revealed that it will be joining hands with LG Display and AmTRAN Technology to jointly develop a new LED packaging company in JiangSu province, China.

Everlight Electronics is an eminent leader in LED packaging. AmTRAN specializes in manufacturing high quality flat-panel televisions and LG Display is a leading innovator of TFT-LCD display technology.

The companies aim to combine their individual strengths so as to supply state-of-the-art LEDs for the now expanding LED-backlit LCD TV market. Mass production of LEDs by the new company will begin by the end of 2010.
