Ciil Technologies to Unveil Waterproof HD Flat Panel Display

During InfoComm 2010, Ciil Technologies, LLC will unveil the world’s first waterproof full 1080p HD flat panel display. The display, available in 42 and 47 inches, will feature  state-of-the-art design and an innovative technology, which is expected to set a new benchmark of protection of flat panels in adverse weather conditions.

The fully-sealed technology allows the production of weatherproof flat panel displays, which would have the greatest flexibility for outdoor deployment. Ciil flat panel displays not only have the highest waterproof (IP) rating and the highest dust proof (NEMA) rating, but also possess the widest operating range in its class. The display can also be operational for up to eight hours even after immersing it under five feet of water.

Ciil's patented Fully-Encapsulated Dynamic Thermal Transfer System is responsible for its maintaining its temperature. The internal components of the system are properly cooled in hot weather conditions and warmed in cold conditions without the usage of vents or exhaust fans. The product is designed in such a way that water and dust does not accumulate inside the display.

The display possesses an ultra-thin 1/4 inch bezel that emphasizes on the content shown in the display, rather than the display. The displays are developed mainly for the commercial market and can be used in restaurants, bars, airports and amusement parks.

Jack McKeague, General Manager of Ciil Technologies, stated that no other outdoor TV has such an appealing design and protection. He further added that the television possesses a very slim bezel that allows it to create beautiful outdoor flat panels.
