New Ethernet and Fiber Activation Solution Enables Faster Service Delivery

Amdocs has secured Huawei certification to provide a preconfigured Fiber and Ethernet activation solution for the Huawei U2000 unified network management system. The preconfigured network activation pack satisfies the market need for advanced and optimized operation and maintenance of Internet Protocol (IP) unified networks. The Huawei U2000 is the first Internet Protocol network management system.

The network activation pack offers a pre-integrated solution for Huawei Fiber and Ethernet components, which enables broadband giants to provide Amdocs Operational Support Systems (OSS) solutions for faster Huawei networks and rapid automated network planning. The activation solution is a combination of Amdocs' OSS capability and Huawei's products that deliver a qualified solution for network operators.

The network activation pack is equipped with the required interfaces to allow service providers to deliver new network services across Huawei's FTTx equipment and Carrier Ethernet.

The Huawei U2000 network management system offers combined activation across Huawei's range of switches, Ethernet routers and Internet Protocol based on a management interface, MTOSI 2.0 API. This technique simplifies the process of delivering new products and integrating network technologies with minimum delay and operational expenditure.
