StarDot Integrates its IP Cameras with Genetec Omnicast Software

StarDot Technologies, which designs and manufactures IP video cameras, has joined with Genetec to offer high-performance video surveillance solutions to the security sector.

StarDot H.264 NetCam SC camera

Under the partnership, StarDot’s megapixel video cameras have been integrated with the video management solution of Genetec Omnicast. This solution offers seamless management of audio, data and digital video across an IP network. The Omnicast solution is preferred in various industries such as education, gaming, transportation and retail.

The new H.264 NetCam SC camera models from StarDot are offered in three resolution options of 5, 3 and 1.3 megapixels. The compression rate of the camera is considerably high than the Motion JPEG encoding. Thus the new IP camera helps to reduce the pressure on network infrastructures. The company’s IP cameras support dual-codec streaming of multi-megapixel video, while also supporting full-time video output in analog format.

The Product Manager of StarDot Vance Kozik stated that this collaboration provides the customers good features of Omnicast as well as advantages of the ‘Beyond HD’ video quality of StarDot. The Technology Partner Program Manager of Genetec Morgan Pasnon expressed their excitement in supporting the megapixel IP cameras of StarDot and integrating them with their software. This partnership expands choice of megapixel video cameras to their customers, Pasnon added.
