Luxottica and Bulgari Extend Eyewear License Deal

Luxottica and Bulgari have extended their license deal for the design, manufacture and distribution of branded prescription sunglasses and frames. The new agreement will come into effect from 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2020.

Luxottica specializes in high-quality sports, luxury and fashion eyewear and operates a global network of sunglasses and optical retail facilities across Europe, Asia-Pacific, South Africa, China and North America. Popular house brands comprise Oakley, Oliver Peoples, Ray-Ban, Vogue, REVO and Arnette, while license brands comprise Versace, Tiffany, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Polo Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry and Bvlgari. Luxottica also operates a number of popular retail brands, which include Laubman & Pank and OPSM in Australasia, Pearle Vision and LensCrafters in North America, LensCrafters in China and Sunglass Hut worldwide. Luxottica products are designed and produced in China and Italy. The company has a sports sunglass manufacturing unit in the U.S.

Bulgari offers an extensive range of perfumes, watches, jewels and other accessory products. The company has selected distributors and operates a chain of premium shopping stores across the globe. At present, Bulgari operates 275 centers worldwide, out which it owns 166 stores.
