New White LED Light from GE for Signage Applications

GE Lighting Solutions has announced the new white Tetra MAX LED light that offers more brightness for channel letter lighting.

Just like other Tetra MAX LED products, the new white color LED uniformly illuminates all medium-sized channel letters, requiring less effort for the installation. However, the new LED lighting system provides 43% wider viewing angle and higher lumens per foot when compared to the previous models.

The white LED light offers improved power supply loading and energy efficiency than other LED and neon lights used to illuminate channel letters. Similar to other Tetra MAX LED products, the new light helps to save a maximum of 80% in energy consumption compared to neon lights.

The white Tetra MAX LED can be installed easily, as it contains lesser parts than other lighting systems. The light features a patent-awaiting 12-V design that reduces the need for complex wiring and help in saving labor costs as well as time. The white LED also avoids the need for dip switches, binning and load balancing. As the new light does not contain mercury, lead or glass, handling and disposal are not problems. The UL-recognized LED product is designed to comply with RoHS standards.

The global product manager of signage at GE Lighting Solutions Eric Stevenson said that the new Tetra lighting system incorporates clean and white light that delivers consistent and prominent illumination for brand signage. The reliable light offers up to 50,000 h of lifetime. The advanced technology demonstrates their commitment towards aiding customers to get brighter light with lesser materials, he added.
