N-trig, providers of the DuoSense® solution combining pen and capacitive multi-touch in a single device, today announced that it has received the prestigious Gold Honor at the Society for Information Display’s 2010 Display of the Year Awards.
N-trig DuoSense is a pen and capacitive true multi-touch solution, providing various pen options, including an electrostatic pen and battery-powered Digital Pencil(TM) as well as a rich gesture vocabulary that enables more than 4 finger input together with simultaneous pen interaction. The DuoSense digitizer is an all-in-one sensor that is easily mounted on top of any LCD for simple integration into existing solutions. DuoSense offers users greater ease of use and increased productivity for a more natural and intuitive Hands-on computing® experience.
“We are pleased to be honored by the Society for Information Display, as this demonstrates the direct impact that pen and multi-touch are having on the computing market,” said Amichai Ben-David, CEO of N-trig. “Pen and multi-touch is clearly becoming established as a standard in computing devices, and Hands-on computing is continuing to be adopted by consumers and enterprise users which is resulting in further development of pen and touch enabled products and software applications.”
“We are delighted to award N-trig the Gold Honor for the Display Application of the Year,” said Robert Melcher, SID’s DYA Awards Committee Chairman. “The Display of the Year Awards are SID’s highest honor presented to recognize the achievements of the display industry in bringing new and innovative products and technologies to the market.
