One of the leading provider of light sources for chipmakers, Cymer, has established a new, multi-functional office in Santa Clara, California, USA.
Through this expansion, the company will now have access to a wide range of resources from a number of renowned universities and global technology industries.
Cymer’s President and CEO, Ed Brown, informed that the new Silicon Valley office enables the company to leverage its growth and explore the area’s multitude of talented resources, while simultaneously providing them more opportunities to access local semiconductor and other technology giants. He further stated that the company appreciates the area's commitment towards high technology market.
Chip manufacturers around the globe utilize Cymer’s light sources to produce sophisticated semiconductor chips. These chips are mostly used in electronic components such as cellular phones, MP3 players and computers. Cymer continues to invest in research and development projects to design sophisticated extreme ultraviolet (EUV) and deep ultraviolet (DUV) light sources. In addition to providing advanced light sources, the company also offers the OnPulse program, which provides the latest technological developments and support for chip manufacturers.
