Digi-Key Announces Success of Lighting Technology Symposium

Digi-Key announced that it has received encouraging response for its Lighting Technology Symposium that was held at the PURE Nightclub Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, on May 13, 2010. The symposium was attended by over 200 people.

A survey was conducted immediately after the symposium, the results of which showed that the panel discussion on LED life cycles was enjoyed by the attendees. They said in the survey that the panelists possessed good knowledge on their respective topics. The Lighting Technology Symposium featured products from the company’s leading lighting products suppliers, namely, Laird Technologies, Lumex, Texas Instruments, Cree, LEDIL and Seoul Semiconductor.

The company’s vice president of semiconductor product, Dave Doherty, said that the event was a success. All the participating suppliers believed the symposium provided worthy product demonstrations and information for the audience.

Following extensive requests, the company will publish the panel discussion pictures on its website soon. The company will also post the entire panel discussion on You-Tube for the benefit of those who missed the symposium. A media advisory with presentations of suppliers and videos will be disseminated lately for download. Further, the company has planned to sponsor the virtual LED conference, One Bright Day to be held in June.
