LASER COMPONENTS offers different types of pulsed laser diodes (PLDs), namely, multi-junction PLDs, single emitters and stacks at wavelengths of 905 and 1550 nm.
However, on demand the company provides these laser diodes in customized designs and wavelengths such as 850 and 930 nm. The PLDs are manufactured at the company’s branch in Canada.
These high-power PLDs from LASER COMPONENTS are used in various applications such as speed measurement, security scanners, rangefinding and laser radars. The pulsed laser diodes are also used in testing systems, measurement systems and laser curtains. The 905 series of PLDs feature the AlGaAs structure, offering superior beam properties, stabilized temperature and high dependability.
The multi-junction PLDs have the ability to reach over a peak power of 220 W. The stack PLDs can reach 120 W of peak power at 150 ns of pulse length with an efficiency of 1 W/A. LASER COMPONENTS’ 1550 nm PLDs are ideal for use in the manufacturing of eye-safe rangefinders. These pulsed laser diodes are also offered in the form of multi-junction models, stacks and single elements with a maximum of 50 W of peak power.
