Walnut Creek, CA-based Dr. Nicholas Hyde has declared that he is treating patients suffering from varicose vein by employing the innovative fourth-generation Sciton laser.
This laser can be utilized to execute Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLT). In the Bay Area, the first physician to use the Sciton laser is Dr. Hyde.
The earlier treatments of varicose vein comprised creating an incision in the upper part of the leg and removing the vein surgically from the body. This is very painful and needs a number of days for recovery.
Conversely, during the process of EVLT, which is a non-surgical method, the Sciton laser is employed to heat the varicose vein from within, resulting in the collapse of the vein. Ultimately, the vein that is affected will be absorbed into the body. The Sciton laser facilitates a faster procedure that takes about 30 min, needing less or nil down time. The patient might start to perform daily activities on the treatment day itself. By employing this sophisticated device, Dr. Hyde had achieved a success rate of 98% in the first attempt of treatment. Roughly 19% of men and 36% of women are affected by varicose veins in the U.S.
