The percentage points were captured in the first quarter. These statistics are published in the Q1 2010 Storage Area Network (SAN) report of Dell’Oro Group. The Mezzanine card and 8Gb/s Fibre Channel HBA segments are two among the fast growing industries in 2010, as per the SAN report.

The senior vice president and chief marketing officer of business development at Emulex, Steve Daheb, said that the growth of market share in these leading segments is exciting as well as vital, because the customers are continuously switching over to 8Gb/s from 4Gb/s Fibre Channel. Moreover, the company is continuing to be the leading market share holder in the 10Gb/s Fibre Channel over Ethernet CNA segment, he added.
