Streetlight Intelligence Inc. ("SLQ" or the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that the Corporation has delivered Lumen IQ(TM) adaptive street lighting systems to 3 Canadian cities.
Prince George, British Columbia, has received a system that includes 500 Lumen IQ(TM) controllers which is the initial commercial order based on a highly successful pilot program. The City of Calgary, Alberta, has also received a system that includes 100 Lumen IQ(TM) controllers which is the City of Calgary's first deployment for field trial. Hydro Ottawa Holding Inc. ("Hydro Ottawa") has received a system that includes 150 Lumen IQ(TM) controllers to be deployed in the City of Ottawa as part of an expanded trial.
"For all three cities, these systems are high profile installations that we anticipate will dramatically increase the industry's awareness of our Lumen IQ(TM) technology and its capabilities," states Vince Krynski, CEO of SLQ. "For these installations, our Lumen IQ(TM) technology will be deployed on traditional high pressure sodium ("HPS") fixtures, where we expect each city to save as much as 40% on their energy usage once the systems are installed. In addition, each city will enjoy an unprecedented level of control over their street lights, enabling them to develop custom lighting protocols for their systems as a whole, groups of lights within their systems, and/or even individual fixtures if need be."
Using Lumen IQ(TM) Central software, each city will be able to monitor and perform system adjustments from a single, centralized location using an Internet-based backhaul in conjunction with regional wireless communication to each streetlight fixture.
