Etón, a leading emergency preparedness company and creator of green-powered electronics for everyday adventures, announces the availability Scorpion – a solar-powered, all-terrain device essential for outdoor adventures.
A completely self-powered device, the multi-functional Scorpion provides Light, Information and Energy in one convenient and rugged device.
Etón continues its award-winning product releases with the availability of the Etón Scorpion. The device can be powered by three sources: solar panel, dynamo hand-crank and AC adapter - allowing the user to have maximum flexibility, in even remote areas. The user can switch between battery modes, referring to the battery charge indicator to see when a charge is needed and utilize the USB port to charge cell phones via hand-crank. When information is critical, Scorpion provides up-to-date and detailed information and weather conditions through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather band, and has an AM/FM radio digital tuner.
The Scorpion’s IPX-4 splash-proof and rugged exterior makes for a durable product that can withstand the outdoor elements. Keeping with the high-design of all Etón products, the Scorpion also brings vibrant, contrasting color to its exterior, available in green or orange. Other design elements an aluminum carabiner clip for securing the device, a built-in LED flashlight, and bottle opener. Incorporated into a compact, ultra-portable package for ultimate convenience, the Scorpion also has an audio line input for music devices.
“With its rugged exterior and multi-function capabilities, the Scorpion is made for anyone exploring the outdoors,” says Esmail Amid-Hozour, CEO of Etón Corporation. “We are excited to see Scorpion become a part of many every day adventures and it is another example of how our brand is constantly evolving.”
