RAB Lighting has expanded its line of affordable and energy efficient outdoor LED lighting with the introduction of the ALED Area Light.
RAB LED fixtures are a fraction of the initial cost of competitive LED products. The total cost of ownership of the ALED is reduced further with long LED lamp life, eliminating the need for multiple lamp changes. Available in both warm and cool light, the ALED has one or two high-output, 10 watt LED light engines that deliver 70% of their rated lumens at 50,000 hours. 20 watt ALEDs are rated 120 through 277 volts, 50/60Hz AC.
Night time simulations of a single-fixture, 10 watt ALED, reveal comparable performance to 70 watt Metal Halide area lights. Single-fixture, 20 watt ALED simulations show comparable performance to 150 watt Metal Halide area lights. Both simulations were based on Lighting Facts Compliant IES LM-79 Testing results.
Up to four ALED fixtures, for a total of 80 watts, can be mounted to a single RAB 4" square, pre-drilled, steel pole. 10 watt ALED fixtures can be mounted to 10-15' poles and have IES Type II distribution and 20 watt ALEDs can be mounted to both 10-20' poles and have IES Type III distribution. Both the 10 and 20 watt ALED have IES fully shield, full cutoff optics and are IDA Dark Sky Certified.
A small carbon footprint is achieved with the unique design specifically engineered for LED and uses over 50% less aluminum and glass than a standard area light. Advanced Thermal Management assures that LED Light Engine life is maximized with a thick, die-cast housing and a heat-sink mounting pad that dissipates heat away from the critical LED array components.
All RAB LED products have a five-year warranty, are UL Listed for Wet Locations and have earned the Department of Energy's Lighting Facts Label. ALEDs can also be used on LEED buildings for Light Pollution Reduction credit. The design of the ALED is protected by U.S. patent D608040 and patents pending in the U.S., Canada, China and Taiwan.
