DigitalPersona, Inc., a global provider of authentication and endpoint protection solutions continues to see increasing adoption of single sign-on and strong authentication solutions by credit unions.
DATCU Credit Union, Honda Federal Credit Union, Mountain America Credit Union, San Mateo Credit Union and Travis Credit Union have deployed DigitalPersona® Pro with fingerprint biometrics to increase productivity, provide better service for union members and maintain information security at the highest level. The institutions serve nearly 670,000 customers with more than $5.9 billion in combined assets.
“Feedback from our employees has been tremendous since deploying the DigitalPersona Pro solution with fingerprint biometrics,” said Pete Kneisler, vice president of information services at San Mateo Credit Union. “The solution has been a huge time saver for our IT staff, saving them from hours burned on password resets. DigitalPersona Pro also provides peace of mind that our member information and records are secure, making our previous security and compliance concerns go out the window.”
Credit unions are cooperative financial institutions that are owned and controlled by their members, setting high expectations for customer service. On average, credit union employees require quick access to more than 10 different applications in order to process member requests. This means that these organizations must increase transaction speed without compromising the security of member records. DigitalPersona’s single sign-on with strong authentication provides credit unions with the fast access they require while helping to ensure endpoint protection across multiple platforms.
Using DigitalPersona software at credit union teller workstations streamlines the processing of member requests by eliminating the time-consuming manual input of usernames and passwords. The solution provides an easy-to-use, intuitive interface that facilitates quick user adoption and reduces IT administrator requests. When used with strong authentication mechanisms, such as fingerprint biometrics, DigitalPersona Pro also enables credit unions to more accurately link specific transactions to the people who perform them.
“One need reigns supreme across all financial services organizations – finding ways to shorten service times to boost business productivity as well as customer satisfaction,” said Jim Fulton, vice president of marketing, DigitalPersona, Inc. “Our solutions make it easy to reduce transaction time while also increasing security and accountability.”
