Touch Solution Manufacturer Zytronic Enters Chinese Market Through Local Partners

Zytronic, the leading designer and manufacturer of PCT-based touch sensors, has established its strategic presence in mainland China by announcing partnerships with SPAC Ltd and AnyTouch Technologies Co. Ltd. Both are experienced and respected technical sales organisations with offices throughout mainland China and Hong Kong.

AnyTouch, which has signed a distribution agreement with Zytronic, is a specialist in touch-based products and solutions including systems, hardware and software. The company will open new markets for Zytronic’s ultra- durable PCT touchscreens among customers in the games, finance, telecommunications, electric power, transportation, hospitals, real estate, tourism and government sectors. The company provides a comprehensive portfolio of sales and technical/design support services to its partners and customers.

Jeff Cheng, Sales and Marketing Manager of AnyTouch comments, “Demand for high-performance, interactive display solutions is growing at a very rapid rate in China. Unlike many of the competing touchscreen technologies on the market, PCT is drift-free, can be operated with gloved hands and does not require the use of bezels or protective frames.” He continues, “As PCT is completely customisable, available in almost any form/factor up to 82-inches, and immune from any external damage, it delivers the high levels of design flexibility and durability that our customers want. With our extensive sales presence and distributor services including specialist technical support, we are ready to maximise market opportunities for high quality, versatile PCT touch solutions.”

Silicon Professional Asia Corporation (SPAC) is a sales representative with an infrastructure spanning eight offices in mainland China as well as a presence in Hong Kong. A dynamic company established in 2001, SPAC focuses on components and computing markets including business-to-business and e-commerce sectors. “SPAC is committed to delivering the world’s best products to China’s high-tech community, and to delivering high quality professional services to our suppliers,” says Kenny Chan, Product Marketing Manager of SPAC. “We are delighted to partner with Zytronic, the leading developer of PCT-based touch solutions, and anticipate strong sales growth leveraging the high value add that touch will bring to our customers’ projects.”

Zytronic’s PCT-based touch sensor structure comprises a matrix of micro-fine capacitors (each just 10ìm in diameter) laminated behind a protective front glass. Unlike alternative ‘front-face-active’ touchscreen technologies, where the sensing element is exposed to hazards such as dirt, grease, moisture and scratching, the active sensing element of PCT is extremely well protected behind the glass front panel. This allows touch performance to remain unaffected by external elements, enabling use in outdoor applications and other harsh environments, such as industrial equipment or systems designed for heavy or repeated use. The panel may also be laminated or tempered, allowing designers to build highly robust touchscreens capable of withstanding security attacks or vandalism, as well as accidental damage.

“China is a key strategic market for advanced, high quality touchscreen solutions, and we are pleased to be able to work with two experienced and professional organisations to serve customers and grow our business here,” says Ian Crosby, Zytronic’s Sales and Marketing Director. “I am confident that our new partnerships will create significant sales opportunities for our products among the manufacturing and design communities in key industrialised areas including Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen.”
