Spacelabs Healthcare expands its patient monitoring portfolio by introducing the Ultraview 2900 with dual display capability.
Clinicians can now simply and efficiently chart and access lab results on one display, while the other display remains dedicated to their patients’ real-time physiologic waveforms and alarms. With easy and immediate access to comprehensive information at the bedside monitor, there is no expensive workstation to purchase and maintain, plus there is less opportunity for infectious organisms to travel from bedside to bedside – unlike mobile workstations.
DNATM (Dynamic Network AccessTM), which functions like a Citrix thin-client, is embedded in the Spacelabs monitor and enables full access to all applications installed on a hospital’s Citrix server. Consistent with Spacelabs’ commitment to open architecture, DNA operates on a non-proprietary infrastructure and no additional hardware is required. Because it’s easy to access information with DNA, clinicians can be assured of having the information needed to make critical clinical decisions as well as a convenient tool for sharing information with other caregivers – at the point-of-care.
“Our goal to improve the efficiency and accuracy of patient care is once again realized with the introduction of the SL2900. Not only does this new monitor support the needs of the highest acuity environments, but it delivers clinical information to where it’s needed most,” said Group President Nicholas Ong.
