SANYO Canada to Showcase HIT Solar Modules, LCD Projectors and TVs at Green Living Show in Toronto

SANYO Canada Inc. (SANYO), a subsidiary of SANYO Electric Co., Ltd., will be showcasing its environmental technologies and products based on the theme of “Conservation, Generation, Storage and Energy Utilization” at Booth 401 at this year’s Green Living Show at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto, April 23 to April 25.

HIT® solar modules

SANYO will also be offering some of the environmental products that it will be showcasing at show-only special pricing.

Among the broad line-up of the company’s environmental technologies and products to be featured are SANYO’s unique HIT® solar modules, the ‘eneloop universe’ line, an entirea series of green products based on SANYO’s ‘eneloop’ rechargeable battery, including a portable lantern, blanket, kairo hand warmer/recharger, and electric bike; plus HVAC units, air purification systems, and LCD projectors and TVs.

“SANYO focuses on creating products and technologies that create harmony between people and the environment,” says Koshi Terakawa, President, SANYO Canada Inc. “Our eneloop universe product series offers a lifestyle that values reusing and recycling. With Energy Star certified LCD TVs and projectors as well as HVAC systems, SANYO has taken the time to engineer its products to reduce harmful materials’ use, reduce weight and carton size and to save energy in packing and transportation.”

At the SANYO booth, visitors will be able to see the company’s new solar power kit, a complete kit that includes premium components including a high efficiency solar module, mirco grid tie inverter and mounting system. Its modular design allows for easy expansion, and is a great way to get green without a major capital outlay. It is ideal for both individual homes and community projects.

The SANYO ‘eneloop bike,’ a Hybrid Electric Bicycle (pedal-assist bicycle), will be at the show and available for test-drives at the track outside of Hall A. Features include a powerful pedal-assist ratio up to 1:2 and a “Loop Charge” function that allows regenerative braking and downhill coasting to charge the battery while riding. The bike also sports multiple power modes, three gears, and a two-wheel driving system that makes for a smoother, more stable ride. This allows riders to pedal for long distances with minimal exertion, even up hills and other steep inclines, ideal for commuters, leisure riders and ‘zoomers’, baby boomers who lead active lifestyles. The SANYO eneloop bike won a CES Innovation Award, specifically the “Best of Innovations Award” in the Eco-design and Sustainable Technology category, in January.

Designed specifically to “Conserveconserve” energy, the HVAC technology and products on display are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) applicable products, offering incredible initial cost value, with immense flexibility for space requirements. While typical air conditioning equipment is viewed as extremely energy-dependent, these products and technologies have been certified to optimize energy performance.

SANYO will be selling eneloop batteries and chargers, kairo handwarmers/rechargers, air washers and LCD projectors at special show prices. For information, go to the booth. Debit, VISA and Mastercard only.
