Sarnoff’s IOM Biometric Identification System Receives Best New Product Award

Sarnoff Corporation announced today that its Iris on the Move® (IOM) biometric identification system has won the Best New Product Award and Best Biometrics and Identity Solution at the Security Industry Association New Product Showcase.

Iris on the Move® biometric identification system

Sarnoff’s patented IOM biometric identification systems quickly and accurately capture the iris image of subjects in motion at distances of as much as 10 feet, verifying identities at speeds of up to thirty people per minute. Other iris scanning technologies require users to stop or stare directly into a scanner.

“The level and quality of competition at the New Product Showcase was just enormous this year,” said Mark Clifton, Sarnoff’s Acting President and Chief Executive Officer. “On behalf of Sarnoff Corporation and the hard work the IOM team has put in making this the best biometric identification solution on the market, we’re honored to accept these prestigious awards from the Security Industry Association.”

Sarnoff’s IOM systems deliver accurate identification regardless of whether the subject is wearing prescription glasses, most sunglasses, or contact lenses. In addition, IOM technology can capture iris images from farther distances than any other commercial iris scanning technology.

The IOM systems are currently deployed in several secure government facilities and private corporations. The technology is ideal for a wide variety of uses including banking ID verification, border initiatives, event security, payment systems, and employee access.

The New Product Showcase, the premier awards-based marketing program in the security industry, is held annually in conjunction with ISC West.
