Photronics, Inc. (Nasdaq:PLAB), a worldwide leader in supplying innovative imaging technology solutions for the global electronics industry, today announced that Texas Instruments (TI) has singled out Photronics for one of its annual Supplier Excellence Awards, based on outstanding performance.
The TI Supplier Excellence Award was created to recognize extremely high standards of vendor performance. Photronics was honored for its on-time delivery of high quality photomasks to TI wafer fabs globally.
"Photronics' high-quality photomasks are a key manufacturing commodity in our wafer fabs," stated Rob Simpson, TI's vice president of Worldwide Procurement and Logistics. "Photronics readily supports our urgent requests while maintaining product quality and exceptional on-time delivery to our facilities worldwide. Their innovative team collaborates closely with our wafer fabs to develop best practices in photomask handling, which has proven instrumental in reducing our internal re-work activity," concluded Simpson.
“It’s an honor to be one of 17 companies from a list of over 14,000 suppliers to receive TI's Supplier Excellence Award,” commented Peter Kirlin, Photronics' senior vice president of U.S. and Europe. “The recognition is deeply appreciated and is a tribute to the joint efforts of both companies. Listening to our customers and responding to their needs has always been a top priority for Photronics.”
TI established its Supplier Excellence Awards in 1983 as a way to honor businesses that have provided exemplary service. The awards are a key vehicle for communicating the high standards the company expects of its suppliers. Businesses are evaluated in six critical areas: Cost, Environmental Responsibility, Technology, Responsiveness, Assurance of Supply, and Quality.
