Force10 Executive to Discuss Optical Communication Issues at OSA Forum

Force10 Networks, Inc., the global technology leader that data center, service provider and enterprise customers rely on when the network is their business, today announced that John D’Ambrosia, Director, Ethernet-Based Standards, CTO Office, will be a featured speaker at the 2010 Executive Forum, which is co-sponsored by the Optical Society (OSA) and Lightwave and held in conjunction with OFC/NFOEC.

Titled “Technology Innovations and Business Transformations: Optical Communications in 2010 and Beyond,” the forum provides attendees with insights and analysis from the industry’s leading business and financial experts on tomorrow's trends and opportunities. The Executive Forum takes place Monday, March 22 at the San Diego Convention Center.

D’Ambrosia, in addition to his technology development work at Force10, also chairs the IEEE P802.3ba Task Force, which is driving the standards development process for 40 Gigabits per second (Gbps) and 100 Gbps Ethernet. From this vantage point, D’Ambrosia will discuss the issues associated with Ethernet beyond 100 Gbps.
