Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in advanced image capture and workflow solutions, will showcase the precision, versatility and benefits of its digital document scanners and check transports at the 10th annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference and Exhibition, beginning today at the Georgia World Congress Center, Booth # 8112.

- imageFORMULA P-150 Personal Document Scanner: The Canon P-150's compact size and simple use liberates document capture by taking it beyond the walls of the office to the convenience of any user location. Measuring only 11 inches long, 3.7 inches wide and 1.6 inches high and weighing just over two pounds, the Canon P-150 redefines the minimum dimensions of a document scanner with automatic document feeder. The Canon P-150 can scan at up to 15 pages-per-minute (ppm) and 30 images-per-minuteI (ipm), yet still fits easily into a briefcase. For quick use and minimal setup, the P-150 can use electrical power via a single USB cable connected to a PC, and when first connected will immediately launch Canon CaptureOnTouch Lite. This "Plug-and-Scan" capability lets users easily and instantaneously start scanning without installing drivers or imaging applications, decreasing the time needed to initiate a scan and simplifying the scanning process.
- imageFORMULA DR-X10C Production Scanner: Fast, durable and reliable, the DR-X10C is perfect for document archiving, records management, and other centralized or consolidated scanning applications. It provides high-speed color scanning up to 128 ppm / 256 ipmII, and also features Canon’s Three-Step Dust Prevention system which helps remove and protect the scanning sensors from paper dust. It also captures a wide variety of documents, with a maximum document size of 22x34 inches.
- imageFORMULA ScanFront 220P Network Scanner: The Canon ScanFront 220P offers an easy-to-use, stand-alone, and secure solution for moving capture of hard-copy documents closer to the point of origin within the business process. It is ideal for decentralized or distributed scanning applications, and for easily sharing documents via a network. The ScanFront 220P features an 8.4-inch color touch panel that allows for easy navigation as well as a preview of scanned images. It can scan letter-sized documents at up to 25ppmIII, and captures color, grayscale and black and white images in various file formats including high compression and searchable PDF, TIFF and JPEG. ScanFront 220P can also scan documents directly to e-mail, FTP, shared-folders and USB memory.
- imageFORMULA DR-2510C Workgroup Scanner: A compact, easy-to-use solution, the Canon DR-2510C is perfect for mission-specific or casual use in a wide variety of workflows. The DR-2510C offers scanning speeds of up to 25ppm and 50ipmIII and comes bundled with a suite of innovative software packages including Canon CapturePerfect and CaptureOnTouch, Adobe Acrobat Standard, ScanSoft PaperPort SE, OmniPage SE and Presto! BizCard software.
- imageFORMULA CR-55 Check Transport: The Canon CR-55 is a convenient, compact solution to decentralize payment processing from the first point of presentment to settlement. Ideal for teller and branch capture, it offers high-quality scanning, at speeds of up to 55 cpm,IV and is compliant with Check 21. The CR-55 simultaneously reads MICR data and features a built-in imprinter. It is bundled with the Silver Bullet Ranger Driver as well as Infrared Double Feed Detection and Paper Thickness Adjustment capabilities for reliable paper feeding and image capture.
Demonstrating the expanded versatility and compatibility of its image capture devices, Canon will feature three solution software vendors, Precision Document Solutions, ImageSource and Digital Document Packaging in its booth. Precision Document Solutions will show its eAdmit turnkey electronic admissions system, running in conjunction with a Canon DR-2510C Workgroup Scanner. ImageSource will be demonstrating ILINX Capture, its document distribution solution, with the Canon ScanFront 220P and Digital Document Packaging will be showcasing its ChartCapture software, which captures paper charts to electronic files, running with a Canon DR-X10C Production Scanner.
