Almo Professional A/V, the nation’s fastest growing audiovisual distributor, and Canvys – Visual Technology Solutions, global manufacturer and integrator of visual technology solutions, are working together to provide channel partners with customized displays for digital signage applications in the retail, hospitality and education markets.
Based on the distribution agreement, Almo Professional A/V will now carry Canvys’ customized displays for digital signage systems. Canvys products available through Almo Professional A/V include small- and large-format NEC and Samsung LCDs with a variety of integrated touch screen options, privacy films and protective enclosures.
“Almo offers flat panels and other components for a digital signage installation, but through our relationship with Canvys we can now provide customized displays that are designed and engineered for a particular environment, audience or application,” said Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO of Almo Professional A/V. “Working with Canvys allows our partners to be more competitive and creative with their installations.”
According to Harley Firth, vice president of Global Sales for Canvys, “Almo Professional A/V gives us the ability to reach customers in the channel where they are either implementing or soon will be implementing a digital signage installation.” He continued, “Like Canvys, Almo’s sales force is DSCE-certified, so they are trained on how to create and set up digital signage systems. Our combined strengths will help customers save time and receive the expert guidance they need throughout the life of their projects.”
Both companies are exhibiting at DSE 2010, Feb. 23-25, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nev. Canvys (#2230) will showcase NEC and Samsung displays with 3M and NextWindow touch systems in the Almo Professional A/V booth (#1413) during this month’s event. Additionally, Canvys will highlight its digital signage systems on the Chicago leg of Almo Professional A/V’s E4 AV Tour, a traveling education.
