Bremer Bank Employs Epson’s CaptureOne Check Scanners for Remote Deposit Capture

Epson, a leading supplier of value-added banking and payment hardware solutions, today announced that Bremer Bank has selected Epson’s award-winning CaptureOne line of check scanners to complement its remote deposit capture (RDC) solutions. Available immediately to the bank’s corporate and commercial customers, Epson’s award-winning CaptureOne check scanner enables fast, two-sided check scanning with the highest MICR accuracy in its class and an industry-leading two-year warranty.

“When it came down to selecting scanners to fit with our RDC solution, we were looking for industry leadership to provide the reliability and service our customers could count on,” said Julie Berglund, Vice President of Payment Services for Bremer Bank. “With CaptureOne, customers have the flexibility of single-feed or batch options, above industry average two-year warranty, and a sleek, compact design. This was the right fit at the right time; we’re taking this solution to our customers, and the response is very positive. We are confident this new solution will speed up RDC adoption, due to the flexibility, reliability and overall ease of use.”

CaptureOne is available in 30, 60 and 90 documents per minute (DPM) as well as Single-Feed versions and is expressly designed to minimize MICR misreads and non-conforming images—eliminating the manual intervention required to reprocess misread checks. Epson’s CaptureOne check scanner was recently awarded a 2009 International Forum (iF) Design Award, which recognizes excellence in product design and functionality from iF, one of the world’s biggest and best-known design centers. The iF seal of fine design is an internationally recognized trademark, serving as a buyer guidance tool in markets throughout the world.
